Somerset then Cornwall and Devon

Our 40th wedding anniversary. Yes. 40th. But I'm only 30 years old - what does this mean? I've had an entire life I was unaware of? That I've forgotten? No, it's been good, and we decided to Celebrate 40 Years by going to Gurnards Head in Cornwall, for the 3rd or 4th time.

It's just the job if you want: remote location, wild, empty scenery and terrific food/drink. We both overate and overdrunk. And my CBT for insomnia went completely out of the window.

Here are some snaps:

Ben Grimes and Joe - cousins

I like this one of Max:
The Grimes/Romanes clan (minus Rose, who took the photo and Charlie, who was on the trampoline):
L to R: Jonathan and Dawn, Max, Alastair, Helen, Dan, Ellie, Lillie, Lenka, Joe, Ben and me
 With Rose - far right

And Charlie, on the trampoline:

Gurnards Head - very windy:

And on the way back we went to St Mawes - which was not as wonderful as we'd hoped. Full of  people and pasties. No nice pottery or art. But I liked these:

Then we went to Coverack and it was gorgeous. So unassuming and calm. We walked along the SW Coastal Walk to Mare Beach
