Mushrooms and mosquitoes
By god I can do home crafts with the best of them if I put my mind to it. Squillions of cépes in the woods, I've been given them and gathered some of my own. The first batch I was given were all massive:
I decided to preserve some as a Christmas present for Kimmy, but Madame assured me that the preserving jars I'd bought - with plastic lids - were only good for preserving with vinegar or alcohol. So I then decided to dry them, which first meant removing the slimy green gills:

Then put them to dry on cardboard:
So then, whilst in full "I can do rural" mode, I made some rolled up herbs to hang up and dry, to then put on the fire to keep mosquitoes away:
They're made of sage, lavender and mint. Hmm. We shall see.
